Filming These Hills Are Ours

By Daniel Bye and Boff Whalley

On the 15th March a choir walked from Morecambe Bay to the summit of Clougha Pike on the edge of The Forest of Bowland. The week before a different choir walked from the centre of Stockton-on-Tees to the summit of Roseberry Topping on the edge of the North York Moors.

Along both routes they sang an original song about the right to roam and the importance of access for all. The songs were created in collaboration with the groups who sang them, about their own relationship, as people of this place, with the peak overlooking them and their place.
